Another year over

Year 2012 was one for the books. And one that I will never forget. My life changed forever and for the better. I became a mommy to the most wonderful little girl! She keeps me on my toes, tests my patience, makes me smile, makes me laugh, makes me tired, helps me see things in a different light, and brings so much joy to my. Having our new addition to our family has tested mine and my hubbies marriage, but has also made us grow. It was, and still is, a difficult change to go from just worrying about the two of us and ourselves to worrying about the three of us. We are constantly needing to put our needs aside to ensure that the needs of our little girl are met. Being a parent, I am quickly learning, is going to be one of the most difficult things I do. But I have also learned it is the most rewarding thing I will do. I will make mistakes, I will learn, and I will try harder next time.
With the start of the new year, I don't want to make a list of resolutions that will set me up for failure. I know that it will be a day to day thing. And I need to keep in mind that some days will be better than others. But that doesn't mean I give up.
My resolutions will fall under 3 categories:

   Be the best...
  Wife
  Mother
    And Daughter of God
   I can be!

As a wife I will do my best every day to:
*Encourage my hubbie
*Support him
*Be on his side
*Respect him
*Help him stay worthy of his Priesthood
*Support him in his Priesthood duties
*Kiss him every day, as much as possible
*Think of him before myslef
*Provide service when needed and when unexpected
*Snuggle
*Laugh
*Forgive
*Quick to say, "Im sorry!"
*Make sure he knows I love him

As a mother I will do my best every day to:
*Put my daughters needs before my own
*Provide a safe and loving environment
*Be her advocate
*Teach her about her loving Savior and Heavenly Father
*Be her friend after being her mother
*Tell her I love her
*Kiss her
*Snuggle her (even if its just for the two 2 seconds she allows me to)
*Say our, "Bushel and a Peck" saying
*Show my gratitude for being blessed with her sweet spirit

As a daughter of God I will do my best every day to:
*Pray
*Read my scriptures
*Repent
*Serve others
*Keep the word of wisdom (exercise and eat healthy)
*Act as if the Savior were standing beside me
*Not judge
*Smile
*Let the light of Christ shine through me
*Be nice when it may be difficult to do so
*Keep the spirit in my home
*Be honest in everything I do
*Serve and show my entire family that I love them (be the best daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, granddaughter, and niece I can be)

I know that I am far from being perfect... that is why I have a loving Savior. He made it possible for me on those days where I fall short to improve and try again the next day.
I am blessed to be sealed to my amazing man!
I am blessed to have little hands reach for me and need me to love and take care of her!
I am blessed to have a Savior that sacrificed his life so I could live mine, and a Father in Heaven who provides all I have in my life.

I am TRULY blessed! Because I am so blessed I owe it to my husband, my daughter, my Savior, and my Father in Heaven to do the things that are listed above.

2013 will be a year of growth, happiness, love, gratefulness, and service.

BRING IT ON!
